I purchased a new home in Georgetown in August 2008 with a newly established sod in June-July time frame, being one of the hottest summers on record. The builder did not water the new sod properly and when I closed on the home, I ended up with a dormant dead lawn with an overgrowth of thatch that spring. After trying to fertilize, reseed, dethatch and aerated my lawn on my own, I was exhausted and distraught as to how to take care of my lawn. I've known and trusted Chris Harvey as a friend for years. He was so helpful in guiding me through many of my concerns with my lawn that I unsuccessfully tried to correct on my own. I finally gave up and left it to the Professionals at A Plus Lawn and Landscape, Inc. I began their program in 2009 and have witnessed significant improvements in my lawn and have received many positive comments about my lawn from neighbors. Dear John,

My wife, Kathy, and I were wondering what to do with the area in our back yard where an above ground swimming pool once stood. We came up with a few ideas but nothing that really excited us. To make a long story short Kathy and I looked at a patio and fire pit display that A Plus Lawn and Landscape had for viewing at the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. I asked the owner of the company, John Rennels, to come and look at the area and give me an estimate. Needless to say we contracted with John to construct the patio with pavers and construct the stone fire pit. Also we contracted for a retaining wall to be dismantled and reconstructed correctly. Before long, Woody, an employee of the company started construction. As you can see from the photos that the end result was fantastic. I cannot say enough about the quality of the materials and workmanship that went into this project. Woody is the up most professional in this kind of project and I would recommend him to anyone. John Rennels, owner, was very prompt in coming and looking at the proposed project and presenting his proposal. The proposal was very concise and contained in detail what was to be done and the actual cost. There were no surprises or cost overruns which John promised there would be none. He was true to his word. I would recommend this company to anyone for lawn care or landscaping services.

Woody Clayton did an excellent job building a retaining wall and providing the fill for a raised flower bed on one corner of my yard. It was easy and enjoyable working with him and other A-Plus staff to let them know what I had in mind. I am really pleased with the results. In addition to fertilization and weed control for my yard, A-Plus Lawn and Landscaping has done other work for me in the past, such as shrub removal and tree pruning. They always do excellent work at a price that I consider fair. I highly recommend Woody and the rest of the A-Plus team.

Dear John

I noticed a neighbor's lawn and bank always looked very nice. I stopped in one day when they had a garage sale and asked about their lawn. They said they mowed the lawn but that A Plus Lawn and Landscape did the front bank and helped with the landscaping. They gave me your name and phone number. This was in the late spring of 2008. I called and after you came and looked the job over, we agreed on the work and a price. We have about 600 feet of bank that is state right-of-way. They don't mow the bank because it is too steep. Your company cleaned up the bank and keep it looking nice.

This spring, we discussed with you additonal work. The first part was trimming some large mature trees and removing limbs to let some sunlight into the lawn. The second part was landscaping the area across the front of our house. The transformation to the front is amazing. You completed the work in a timely and professional manner. You and your employees are very courteous and considerate. I plan to continue using your company in the future.
